One of my favorite quotes from Joseph Pilates is "Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness." Working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, club director, and movement instructor has led me to understand 'wellness' instead of 'fitness'. I have been practicing and teaching Pilates for over 20 years. Through this journey I have gained an intense appreciation and an insatiable curiosity for the complexity of our human bodies - but also the beautiful simplicity of care that we need. I am never surprised by the healing nature of Pilates, but I am always inspired. For years I have seen the truth of Joe's work... Return To Life. It is extraordinary to witness, when given the right path and the right tools, people can change their lives. At Bodywize we promote wellness and vitality so that you can live, play and enjoy your life with 'spontaneous zest and pleasure'!
I invite you to visit our studio and speak with our clients. The common thread you will find in speaking with them is "I just feel good!". I see exercise programs come and go, some with great results, but most are temporary and the 'side effects' are sore, tight muscles, which in turn wreak havoc on your joints and ultimately will lead you away from your sense of wellness and vitality. I have always considered Pilates to be the 'Fountain of Youth' - and that is inclusive - Body, Mind, and Spirit - it is all profoundly connected! A regular practice of Pilates brings youthfulness to your physical body, your mind, and restores and replenishes the energy of your spirit.
At Bodywize our mission is to "Empower people to be in control of their own health and well-being through conscious exercise and movement education." Regardless of your age or current level of fitness, you can begin this journey of wellness.

I have always been a mover. My training began in classical ballet, modern and ballroom dance as a child. I later had the opportunity to perform on stages in the US, Europe, and South America. My deep connection to the outdoors means I’m often found navigating the wintry slopes and deep red rock canyons of Utah when I’m not in the studio, with my two beloved dogs as sidekicks. I regard Pilates as the “secret weapon” that keeps me strong and balanced so I can continue moving through this beautiful life with energy and positivity. I find meaningful enjoyment in bringing all of my experiences and training to helping others keep moving too.

As a professional dancer, choreographer, and movement educator I have a profound respect for the intricacies of human movement. 'Nature is the silent witness of intuition' - no one knows your body better than you do! Pilates uses natural movement patterns that with time, restore ease and efficiency. I hope you will find that your Pilates sessions are a time for you to feel and know the things that are going right in your body - and to be curious when things don't feel so right. Pilates is an exploration and refinement of human movement through your lens - how you feel it - how you see it. There is no wrong way to move - just easier ways. I believe in the healing power of movement and that we all have untapped potential to move better and feel better.
